Do you stand or sit down while urinating?
This question is often associated with male toilet habits. Why is it, that female toilet queues are often the longest while men can more efficiently duck in and out?
In this degree Project, I am investigating a possibility to develop a female urinal that meets the needs of women and makes the toilet visit more efficient in a bar and nightclub environment. In the exploration of form and material, I have experimented with expressive aesthetics.
What aspects should be considered when designing a female urinal for a public environment? And how is personal privacy affected when a space is shared with strangers?
Thus, can women, as well as men, have the opportunity to avoid a long toilet queue that creates the urination frustration?

Denna fråga förknippas vanligtvis med mäns toalettvanor. Varför växer toalettköerna utanför damtoaletten medan män snabbare kan gå in och ut från sin toalett?
I detta examensprojekt undersöker jag om det går att utveckla en kvinnlig urinoar som tillgodoser kvinnors behov och effektiviserar toalettbesöket inom bar- och nattklubbsmiljö. I utforskandet av form och material experimenterar jag med uttrycksfull estetik.
Vilka aspekter bör vägas in i utformandet av en kvinnlig urinoar för offentlig miljö? Och hur påverkas den personliga integriteten när ett utrymme delas med främlingar?
Alltså, kan kvinnor liksom män få en möjlighet att undgå den långa toalettkön som skapar urineringsfrustrationen?
