I have chosen to highlight and approach the multifaceted expressions of the colour brown in an attempt to illustrate the potential and the significance of the colour in the public space. With these thoughts, I want to raise the issue of how we see colour and if colours can represent different values, statuses, hierarchies and structures.

Are ‘mixed’ colours valued as highly as ‘primary’ colours? Which colours will be allowed to stand out in the public spaces we will create in the future?

Jag har valt att kasta ljus på och närma mig de bruna färgernas mångfacetterade uttryck, ett försök att belysa deras möjligheter och betydelse i det offentliga rummet. Med dessa tankar vill jag lyfta frågan hur vi ser på färg, och om det finns värden, status, hierarkier och strukturer inom färger.

Har de ”primära” färgerna samma betydelse eller värde som de ”blandade” färgerna, samt vilka färger som tillåts ta plats i de offentliga rum som vi ska skapa i framtiden?
