Objects have come to be a matter of subjective valuations characterised by commercialized ideals of beauty and expectations concerning both design and aesthetics. In a world of objectification where most things are interchangeable, I counter with connection as a sustainability value.

My work is rather one subjective interpretation, where I strive to restore the relationship between man and object through the basic knowledge of the material and its purpose of use according to the human body. The objects are made out of stem parts in different types of wood, where each part has been processed by hand according to its unique character and then been assigned function with simple additions in metal.

Through my method, I want to set an example of a co-creative process that directs the manufacturing, and through such a design process, allows space for other values to form the basis for changing perspectives on objects and production ideals.

Objekt har kommit att bli en fråga om subjektiva värderingar, präglat av kommersialiserade ideal och förväntningar på både design och estetik. I en värld av objektifiering, där det mesta är utbytbart, kontrar jag med anknytning som ett hållbarhetsvärde.

Mitt projekt är snarare en subjektiv tolkning, i strävan efter att återupprätta relationen mellan människa och objekt genom materialets inneboende egenskaper och dess användningsändamål i relation till kroppen. Objekten är gjorda av stamdelar i olika träslag, där varje del har bearbetats för hand utefter sin unika karaktär och sedan tilldelats funktion med enkla tillägg i metall.

Genom min metod vill jag visa exempel på en medskapande process som tar kontroll över tillverkningen, och genom en sådan designprocess tillåta utrymme för andra värden att ligga till grund för förändrade perspektiv kring objekt och produktionsideal.
