By not chasing the unattainable,
but instead exploring the visual wealth that’s already there
By embracing the mundane and the grotesque
By adding, layering and letting complexity and contradiction lead
I have created my own utopia
In this world of high-res moldy extravagance
I am free from demands of simplicity and efficiency
I can spend time with an apple and watch it grow old,
unlocking beauty hidden in plain sight
Through decomposition and composition,
creating new frameworks for interpretation
I want to offer an opportunity to experience the world anew
Genom att inte sträva efter det ouppnåeliga
utan istället utforska den visuella rikedom som redan finns här
Genom att omfamna det vardagliga och det groteska
Genom att lägga till lager och låta komplexitet och motsägelse leda
har jag skapat min egen utopi
I denna värld av högupplöst möglig extravagans
är jag fri från krav på tydlighet och effektivitet
Jag kan spendera tid med ett äpple och se det åldras,
frigöra skönhet som är så nära att den är osynlig
Genom sönderfall och sammanblandning
skapas nya ramverk för tolkning
Jag vill erbjuda en möjlighet att uppleva världen på nytt
